Sub: Regarding Immediate Relief for the victims of demolitions and forced eviction at XXXX

 

Dear Sir,

 

We are writing it to bring to your kind notice the unlawful and unconstitutional demolitions and forced eviction of XXXX. The eviction was carried out by XXXX in support with XX police in the most reprehensible manner without even servicing individual noticed and following due procedures of law, violating norms and laws of the land. We urge you to provide relief to the people whose houses have been demolished in the process. The aforesaid notice in the form of a pamphlet for this demolition was distributed in the colony on (Date) dated (Date) but people didn’t know about it as there were know Public Announcement or Individual Notification done.

Our Plea to Chief Minister of XXXX

 

The residents are still collecting and digging their belongings which had gone under the debris. Most of the residents are living out in the open, battling the sun and rains. Authorities have also taken away the Basic Services. Adding to this, the numerous elderly, person with disability and children have their daily life terribly disturbed and are in utmost need of immediate relief. Hence the immediate need of the families affected by this incident is related to

 

  • Water,
  • Food,
  • Temporary shelter (Shade),
  • Mobile toilets
  • Basic Clothing, Shawls and Blankets,
  • Medicines and Medical Mobile Van till the situation normalizes is required.

 

There is also a need of ensuring that all school going children be assisted in rejoining schools and the terminally ill, lactating mothers, pregnant women be reached out to immediately with medical and nutrition needs.

We urge to Chief Minister for a Spot Visit to have a better look on the issues and demands of people in the Colony. Hoping that Chief Minister Office and Chief Minister in Person appeals/orders to XXXX and XXXX  to not further aggravate the situation by further threatening the residents about impending demolition and barricading the community to retrieve their belongings and documents also put in to the Order by Hon’ble High Court.
